Everything else aside. Does he still have his bobbys? A local bitch has been in season recently and my entire boy doesn't usual bother but as he has been under house arrest for his neck injury he's bored. He's been on an out every 2mins for a good week or so driving us nuts. He just walks up the path and stares at the garden in question then comes in then goes out stares comes back in....

This sounds really good news kenny - and certainly how i remember kim behaving with his epilepsy. It is such a distressing condition for both dog and human but the modern drugs now are much better i would think than what kim was given nearly 45 years ago.

We are all here for you kenny and you and harvey will get through this dreadful time xx gnasher and ben xx

So happy to hear all your news Kenny - things really do seem a bit brighter for you and Harvey. He is one lucky dog to have you to care for him. xx

Hi Dobermonkey

As Harvey is a RSPCA rescue they had his bits removed but interesting you should say that as the dog next door is a bitch but no idea if she is on heat. Never bothered Harvey before but with him all over the place it could be the reason.

The owners are a bit stand-offish and not very friendly but if I see them I will try and broach the subject.

Would be interesting to know as I had not even thought of this..

Hi Gnasher

Sorry to hear about your kim

I am so grateful to everyone who has kindly taken the time to post advice and kind thoughts on here.

It really has helped me to know you guys care and such a invaluable support.

Harvey is only at the beginning of his journey as we have to wait and see how he does and that's something that cant be predicted which is extremely scary by I will take it day by day alongside him.

Kenny, morning to you and harvey! I just wanted to say that for the past 11 years i've suffered from PTSD and take fluoxetine. Since you first came on Dogsey to tell us about Harvey i have seen you grow and gain confidence from all your new friends' support and love. We are all here for you, rooting for Harvey ... from what you have said you are very isolated and don't socialise much and yet clearly you have so much to offer. If and when Harvey is up to it you might like to think about taking him out and about say to a dog friendly pub? It is amazing how many people will be attracted to Harvey and many an interesting conversation can commence following such encounters. You may find that something like this may be a key for you to socialise ... and for Harvey too! Dogs love pubs!

Keep up the good work Kenny and as always big hugs and xx to Harvey from gnasher and ben xx

Kenny, I agree with Gnasher, you do meet people 'walking the dog,' and I would like to see some photos of Harvey, he looks a lovely dog! Hope you're both well today.
