Sony Vaio all in one - keyboard problems

The wireless keyboard that came with my new PC is total rubbis. I've changed the batteres, so it's not that. It misses letters out all the time, and whatever I type, I have to go back and correct it all oer the place It's driving me absolutely mad.

Ay sggestions please?

(This post was typed withot correcting anything to give you an idea of the problem)

It's a common problem with wireless keyboards I gave up in the end and bought a laptop before I smashed something.

I tried a few Vicki including one very expensive one which were all pants, I went back to a plug in before getting the laptop, not much use to you though if it's a brand new pc.
Our pc was a dust magnet and and I seemed to be forever pulling it all out for cleaning etc. the final straw was when the monitor decided to give up the ghost, instead of replacing the monitor I bought a big laptop that does everything the pc did and can do it anywhere.

Is it an infra-red wireless keyboard or a bluetooth one?

If IR, then you must have the 'dongle' thingy in sight of the keyboard - they need to be able to see each other.

If bluetooth it shouldn't matter.
