The nice vet said that their practice is to see bitches for a check up 3 days after spaying, then stiches out 4 days later?

is this normal- i think it is a good idea as things like this saga can be caught?- right?

So sorry to be reading this Helena, as if you haven't been through enough already, I do hope there is some good news when you get a chance to get on here.
I think I would be ringing the vet and seeing what advice they have to offer and maybe give her 24hrs off any food, I know she has been on and off food for a while now but with all that has been going on, it might be something to do to give her guts a rest.

Am hoping this morning will bring some good news from you H. Keep thinking of you and Zena and hoping things are improving.

Hope Zena is feeling lots better today, Helena.

Kept her in my prayers and will do until Zena is all better.
