What to get Millie??

Its millies first birthday next month and im really stumped as to what to get her as she has plenty of toys all of which she loves, I have leads, collars, her crate or the bench are her places to sleep so we dont need a bed, ive been thinking about a harness as she pulls on the lead a lot but I remember the first harness She hated having it put on and it was a two person job!

It may well end up being something to do with food but it would be nice to have something to mark her first year.

Maybe don't buy her anything. Bake her a birthday cake and take her somewhere really special for a nice walk. Trip to the coast?

Why dont you take her out for the day somewhere rather than get her something?

I can assure you that MILLIE won't care AT ALL what you get her for her birthday! Or even if you don't get her anything at all! I know coz I asked my dog about this.

So take her a different day! To be fair, she's a dog and doesn't actually know exactly what day her birthday is on! She'll love a special walk, even if it's a week or two too early/late. If you feel the need to mark it, does it matter if it's not exactly on the day?

Well I feel a right horrible person, as I acknowledge birthdays of pets purely as a record of age as opposed to something I buy them presents etc on, purely as dogs/cats here would stare blankly at me and have no idea what the fuss was about!

I would not worry, there are many benefits to having pets, and one of them is that they have no idea what Birthdays, Easter or Christmas is/are.

Thank Goodness.

I have never bought my dogs a Birthday or Christmas present in their lives.

They do not appear to have suffered due to this oversight nor hold it against me.
