Is PRA even something that is routinely screened for in Springers? I know it is in Labs.

Good thoughts for tomorrow.

Quick google and I found this...it was on the ESS rescue site.
There are some known inherited diseases , although
rare, for which there is testing and we would always advise
anyone buying a puppy to establish that both its parents have
‘clear’ test certificates or x-ray results for the following:

Eyes: Multifocal Retinal Dysplasia (MRD), Generalised and Central Progressive Retinal Atrophy (GPRA & CPRA), Goniodysgenesis (primary glaucoma), GPRA Cord 1 mutation (DNA test).

Canine Fucosidos – this is also a DNA test so stock can be hereditarily clear from clear parentage.

Hips: X-Ray. Average score for an English Springer is 6:7=13
I hope Woody is ok.

I have just caught up with this thread. I had no idea you were struglling so much with my little Woody. I have to say what a great example you set in persevering and looking for advice. Your love for him is so very apparent. It is great that the vet feels there will be improvement in the change of diet and also feels his isssues can be resolved.

I am sorry that the vet suspects PRA, and am sending every positive thought I have to both of you for tomorrow.
