6 month Springer needing a home

My vets have Just contacted me -

Got a lovely,well trained springer spaniel,6mths,(i think its a girl!),lovely tempermant & owner bought her as a gundog although i think she looks more like the show type ie domed head etc. Anyway she has truly AWFUL hips & cant be worked! She is not a hyperactive springer anyway & shes insured & seen ortho specialist (nothing can be done surgery wise until shes fully grown & she may not need surgery if fed high quality food & glucosamines & restricted!) Owner requested PTS but we are trying to find a home for her.

Is she good with other dogs do you know? I am seriously considering getting a second dog for my Eddie who is dog reactive but will get on with bitches.

Shame you live so far away my daughter is looking for a second dog to live with her border collie he was born with terrible hips but seems to have adjusted to life just fine ,she was after a bitch to keep him company as he loves other dogs and misses mine when they go home .
