Buffet Ideas for a baptism PLEASE

Preferably as easy and non-cooking (frozen/shop-bought pre-cooked/no cooking required/can serve cold are all great! ) as possible and for about 15 - 20 people. Am I asking the impossible here ?

And an admission: I know cheese and pineapple on sticks are meant to be ... well, cheesy ... but I love 'em!

Mmmm, cheese and pineapple on sticks!!! Go for it, it's not tacky, it's postmodern! Asda's good for finger food too - the freezer section. Mini quiches and cheesecakes and stuff Also, if you want an easy recipe that's just as easy to scale-up, make some hummous:

1 tin chickpeas
2 cloves garlic, crushed
juice and zest of one lemon
2 tbsp tahini
2 tbsp olive oil
a little salt

Instructions:

1. Blend all the ingredients until smooth, with enough of the chickpea liquid as it takes to get the consistency you want.

2.

Actually, that's it.

Serve with breadsticks, pitta pieces or veg sticks. Cheap as it could be!

Cooked up some vol au ventas for a family party recently and was naughty and sent OH to Sainsburys to get some stuff to fill them with, you know like their fresh (in the fridge at least) tubs of chicken curry things and mini salad stuff (obviously not salad but you know what I mean) took 10 mins to cook vol au vents, half an hour to cool and 10 mins to fill...they went down a storm.

Rice salad...quick cook salad with a Fairtrade pack of unsalted peanuts and raisins mixed in..it's yum.

Pasta pesto...frsh pack f pasta twirls with a tin of sweetcorn, mixed together with some pesto sauce...green or red, both yum.

As for pineapple on sticks...we did a fantyastic 'hedgehog' for the same party....but come on..ya need cocktail suasages as well.
They sell cooked cocktail sausages now in packs...(all this form a veggie!!!)

Ummmmmmmmmmmm
Sauasage rolls...
Packs of crisps.
Tortilla chips with tubs of dips (can also chop up carrot and cucumber/put out breadsticks) great for most dips.

Cheese and crackers...

Cold pizza.

Quiches

A bowl of grapes...washed and pulled form the stems, always a hit.

Hope this helps.
Are we all included in that 15 LS?????!!!!!!
