Hows this for service.

Did a shop at iceland today home delivery spent about £95.
It has just been delivered and when I went to put the bacon in the fridge noticed the use by date is 10 April.Rang them to say expecting to have to take it back which would of been Friday now and he said he would send the driver back out with a pack of bacon later this afternoon,it is a large £5 pack but I was surprised as it was partly my fault for not noticing in the shop.Thats what i call Customr care.

Amazing, and an example to other stores too.

Thats great, but not your fault - it's the stores fault for not checking the dates of the stock on their shelves!

Well yes that is true you would expect them to rotate their stock properly. The van driver was so apologetic explaining he didn't do the packing.
When he checked the date he said he might find a bin for it hope not as I am sure the store will want proof otherwise they might think I am trying to get a freebie.

lol

I doubt it!
I get my tesco shopping delivered, and 2 months ago I bought a 4 pack of beans.
2 tins were so badly damaged (looks like they had been dropped) that they probably wouldn't open.
I e-mailed Tesco, and they refunded me straight away for the 4 tines - no questions asked, and I got an apology!

I've had this with Sainsbury home delivery. They forgot to put in my pork chops.
Offered to send the driver back to store and then back to my house with them.

Felt too bad about that - so had a refund instead

Wondered if I might of got a free box of choccies .
I was really impressed with the service but I suppose they have to keep their customers happy, especially as I spend quite a bit every month in there.
The satff in Iceland were really apologetic which these days makes a nice change,so much competition between the Supermarkets now they have no choice.
