Talking Thursday 15th June 2023

Morning all. Yep it has been talking Thursday so far. So nice to be able to chat to people face to face. Warm out and have been for my walk which is when I spoke to the first person in the shop. Next it was a chap I see with a dog and then another chap that lives in the block of flats next door to me here. Then a lady that lives in the flat downstairs. She was rushing to go to work as running late. Anyway have a good day peeps and keep talking to people.

Warm here again today, quilt on the line sheets in the machine washing.
We are moving the wardrobe from the spare room to our room today clearing most stuff out and the flooring in that room will start to go down.
Last room yayyyyyy.
It's been hard work but worth it.

Yes brenda Freya does drink from a cup with a lid and they have tried it, with no success.
Also tried her water in a bottle with a teat, still no joy. It is proving a problem. The Dr, said it will clear up on its own without the ab's but it will come back, whereas the ab's will kill it.
It's proving very difficult and distressing all round.
Shame the first Dr didn't just give her the flavoured ab in the first place.

Bit of a conundrum then. Secrete it in her food. How about jelly?

Mark says whatever they put it in and not letting her see, she seems to know it's there and then refuses the food or drink.
Not sure whether she has super human abilities to sniff things out or has worked out they are using all the tricks and one step ahead.
Being so close to her and knowing her so well nothing would surprise me with her to be honest.

What about that Lynn with something really sweet in it, I know it's not ideal but if it's short term the sugar shouldn't do too much harm

Fingers crossed you manage to get it down her Lynn, you would think that they would be able to give an injection by now, my cat was a sod for tablets, I used to get him an antibiotic jab and take him back every few days if needed.....meant I was sure he got the drugs and I didn't get bitten or clawed to death lol

Yep griff you would have thought the first Dr would of given her the palatable one in the first place and if there wasn't one that it could be given in a different form, although I'm not sure in which form.

Lynn, will Freya eat ice cream or lollies? If so, it may be worth a call to the doctors to see if the abs will still work if given that way. The cooling should help her mouth and if it's the only way to get the abs down it may be worth a shot

Hi Chris ice cream is about all she will eat at the moment and they have tried the ice cream trick.
