My birthday presents to me

On Thursday I picked up the most beautiful pair of Standard Long Dachshunds - I am smitten!

They are 9 weeks old litter brother and sister Mariella and CJ (Captain Jack - Don't ask lol!)

I have never been in a situation to take on a really good show dog - but now finishing college and taking time out before Uni, I figured now or never!

Progress so far

Toilet training is a bit hit and miss, Mariella has it sussed almost, CJ just goes where he likes! We're working on it

They are sleeping just about all night, I had to get up at 2am and quiet them down as they had started howling, 6am we were up and did early morning wee's outside.

They've both settled in lovely though, I couldn't have asked for better behaved puppies
