Justice system!

What is going on with our Justice system???, I've just heard on the news that another poor woman who was jailed for killing her two babies has been freed due to medical evidence, how could our justice system have put that poor woman through so much when she should have been home grieving for her children

Maria, the last one to be released a couple of months ago (angela cannings?) was from a town not too far from me, she has been given no compensation or anything! the law stinks and needs to change fast

I agree Emma, something needs to change before some other poor woman is put through the same

there are lots of women in prison that have appealed since the angela cannings release, this one today i think is just the 2nd of many

and most of it is all down to that doctors evidence who claimed it was impossible to have more than one cot death in the family

Our judicial system says you are innocent until proved guilty except if the most awful thing, that we couldn't even start to imagine, that not 1 but 2 or more babies die, then you are to be assumed guilty until proved innocent.

At least the majority of these cases have been reviewed now but there's no recompense possible for these women. Oh sorry - off you go.

its the no compensation for the time they have lost (now possibly too old to have more children) and the people and homes etc they have lost too, i get angry just thinking about it, so not coming back in here til tomorrow

One of the worst nightmares for any mother must to be lose a baby... how many of us have kept checking in fear that are baby is too quiet and may not be breathing ... add to that loss of the baby being accused of killing it..how do these poor women go on living... how can these women ever get over this...it is reminiscent of the old witch trials.
