Never heard of this before,but can't for the life of me see why it would work in any way.Blimey if i bit Ossie's ear, that would be it,he would be straight in play mode going mental and jumping all over me.

I have heard of this before but I believe it is totally wrong.

Like children dogs learn from our body language and habits, so they will instantly think biting is ok and probably think it is a game...

It could get a dog into alot of trouble thining that biting is a game.

I disagree with any form of 'training' that involves hurting your dog in any way as a punishment, I would advise any potential dog owner away from this outdated and cruel practise.

I have heard of it,,, stone age though, ,,, if only a chew on your dogs ear would solve all the problems with dogs, any way dominance and recall are diff things,,,

I only ever bite my dog in self defence :smt075
