Pidge's Garden (before and after shots)

Hurray, our garden is finally finished!!

It's taken a good five solid days but it's finally finished and we're so happy with it! Big thanks to my Dad for spending Thursday and most of Friday helping us do the decking and to Neil for spending the past five days making my dream garden come true! I was involved in the planning and potting, as well as making some cracking sarnies/snacks and drinks ;o)

We were planning on having a Japanese courtyard theme but funds were abit tight so have opted for a beach theme instead, with decking, beach cobbles and weathered effect wooden furniture (note that is work in progress).

I've only potted a few plants & herbs (Mediterranean palm, coriander, garden mint and a yukka) as am waiting on some more to arrive in the week (a couple of acers, a bamboo, a chilli plant and dwarf pear tree). The Mediterranean palm is in a planter that Neil made me out of the off cuts of wood from when he built the decking!

Neil's also built Woody a puppy toilet out the back on the driveway and filled it with sand and gravel from the old garden. With any luck that will stop him going in our shiny new garden!

We're just about to wrap up warm and go and sit out in it with a bottle of wine and some nibbles!! ;o)
