Oh that is a shame. Just this week my dog pulled up and it looked like she had ruptured her cruciate, but it turned out she has torn another ligament near the cruciate, she may never be the same dog again (competing wise). Really hope surgery goes well for your dog.

Thanks, to everyone.

He is nine now, and even if the op is completely successful, he wont be working again, I have had him since he was seven weeks old and could never part with him, so yes he is def retiring with me, to become a fulltime house dog

I'm sorry to hear his career has ended abruptly like this, but hopefully the op will be a complete success and you will go on to have many years of companionship together. He is a lucky boy to have you.

Ah, yes 9 is a bit old for operational work.

As a matter of interest, is he a Jotunheim or Beckenberry?

Just want to make sure Blade gets all the correct treatment, so he can enjoy his retirement
That is a shame about the prospects of a new GP dog But great news that Blade will get to enjoy his retirement as a full time house dog.

He is a stunning looking dog, and that photo of him is great.

Yes I know the Briarquest kennel, used to breed Hollandse Herders too but stopped and of course Cocker Spaniels.
