Yep, Jack is a PAT dog, we visit our local Hospice.

Here we are receiving a Cheque obo of PAT. I am the one on the right with short hair

We have been PATting for 4 years now, I am hoping that one day Tara can become a PAT dog too.

Do they have to be real assistance dogs??

Takara's my 'informal assistance dog' and helps me with day to day things around the house as well as helping me get out and about.

She's entered for Friends for Life too - you can see here: www.pawsitivelypets.co.uk/friends4life.html

Hi Lottie, no, they don`t have to be registered assistance dogs, more a case of `do they do that something extra` either formally/registered or informally but trained to do things within the scope of tasks/jobs which are applicable under an Assistance dog umbrella
Takara is a very good example for potential responders of what would `qualify` an informal assistance dog for what I have in mind as Show Sec
