Annoyed at Eastenders....

...tonights Eastenders involves Max and Bradley talking about putting Gumbo the St Bernard to stud purely to make money. (Forget the fact about him being a top pedigree etc in the programme and him winning a 1st place - that wasn't even portrayed properly anyway with regards to entry etc.)

What I'm trying to say is that some stupid moronic folk watching this who haven't got a brain cell to rub together will think breeding dogs = money, and we all know there are enough of those folk about.

Am I being overly dramatic, or is anyone else seriously annoyed about this?

ETA: Here is the link to make a complaint regarding this issue, should you wish to do so:

yep..i think its the most irresponsible thing the BBC has ever done.

St Bernards will now become so popular as a money maker the rescue centres should be bracing themselves for an influx in a few years time.

letters to the BBC should now be sent asap.

Hey Nicola,
I havent watched Eastenders because I hate it! so depressing.... but sounds to me like you have every right to be annoyed! They cannot advertise that its a great idea just to breed for money, not only is it totally wrong on a moral front, but also not true to life. To breed a litter properly is blo*dy expensive !
Any muppets that think its ok to breed purely for money make me mad too !!!

Exactly. Sending my letter now. I can take a joke as much as the next person, and I'm certainly not PC, but I think the BBC must be made aware of the situation, unless like has aleady been said, this storyline backfires, but I doubt it. We'll see.

Hi Adele,

It's pretty grim, god knows why I even watch it. It's probably on in the background out of habbit.

There will be muppets rubbing their hands at the thought of the money now.

Back fire or not, and I hope it does I bet the only reply you get from the BBC is "your comments have been noted"
Been there done that many, many times

Probably, Jenny, but I've sent it anyway.

You'd think they'd have learned by now, especially seeing as it was the BBC who aired that documentary.
