Suze Pitbulls are not dangerous, it's the individual dog that is the danger. Sadly because of the Pitbulls' 'look' they attract the wrong sort of owner, these owners train and encourage their dogs to be aggressive. Should these irresponsible owners chose another breed you would have the same outcome. These attacks are not from dogs that are doing what comes natural, quite the opposite they are trained to be that way, a result of abuse, lack of socialisation, neglect etc

With the DDA listing these breeds as dangerous I can understand why people hold such negative opinions of them, but what the government fail to shout about is they themselves realise their mistake of rushing the DDA bill through, yet fail to do anything about it. Even the police who have to assess pit types say the Act is wrong but still have to enforce it.

I will say again ,I have met and been in the company many times of pb and they are the most loven affectionate dogs i have had the pleasure of meeting , But they were owned by responsible people and not morons who sole purpose to owning these dogs was to cause fear or for fighting , I do not favour some breeds but my attitude towards is far from hostile which is the opinon it seems from yourself Suze , And like Boobah says everyone is entitled to there own opinion ,why your being aggressive towards Collam for stating his is anyones guess xxdk

You have the most childish attitude to a debate i have ever experienced, you seem to be incapable of hearing anybody elses point of view and are spouting nonsense learned from newspapers and media reports. you have nver met a pitbull so have no experience of the breed at all - good or bad ? You admittedly dont like staffies which is its closest match and seem to take great pleasure in shouting about exterminating a breed which no-one else has done with such glee.

In my opinion you are no dog lover, just because you woudl stop to help an injured dog does not make you a dog lover it just makes you human. If you were a true dog lover then you would not be saying that you want a government to dictate what dog you can own for the rest of your life. you dont know what will happen in the future so how do you know that collies, gsd's etc will not get added to a list through a spate of dog attacks, you really dont have a clue.

of course i am a dog lover - i just dont like certain breeds - i HAVE listened to everything you have said - researched the breed etc - my reasons for not liking the breed and agreeing with you is because that is my opinoin and my choice

As Carole has said - please keep the debates amicable. If you can't put your point across without attacking someone elses breed in a such a nasty manner then please keep off the threads.

There is ALWAYS a way to make a point without being so rude.
