Pedigree Dogs Exposed 2

Apparently there will be a PDE2 airing imminently (does anyone know exactly when?).

What did you think of the original, and what would you like to see in the second programme?

I missed the first one but will be watching this second one (please, someone, remind me nearer to the time, I missed the first one despite many an attempt at reminding myself about it!)

With the timing of it, I imagine it could be just as biased and one-sided as the first one which will be a great shame

I do hope I'm wrong, but I somehow doubt it.

Having not seen the first programme (but just been reading the thread about it and recall hearing all about it the day after when I thought "D'OH! I missed it!"), I suspect you might be right.

I'm looking forward to it.

Although I thought it was a bit harsh to begin with, I think the first one single-handedly did more for the welfare of dogs being bred than anything else imo.

What a huge difference we see now in the KC attitudes/guidelines on breeding, they now specifically cover things like (not) breeding for exaggerated looks, in-breeding etc

I hope they can report things have got better, but not shy away from further criticism if need be.

Btw, I think the KC should be commended on the improvements they've made, I hope one day they'll thank the film-makers for giving them a bit of a wake-up call, even if it was a bit punishing at the time.
