Len and Mya catch their fair share of the little smeggers, and a quick spray of Raid (when the gingers are out of the room) usually makes them head for the open door.....

We have the curtain thing over the door, it does stop the Bees and wasps getting in and quite a few flies as well, we only get the odd one in now and we managed to get it out the window pretty much as soon as it gets in, if not Jack gets it he's got pretty handy at catching flies, which is one of the reasons I'm glad the curtain thing keeps Bees and Wasps out

For the small ones, I use a pickled onion jar with the vinegar still in (no onions) and put clingfilm over the top and put small holes in it. Works a treat.

We don't seem to get many flies at all tbh. Which is just as well as we wouldn't be able to use any sprays etc because of the parrots.

Teatowel. I have found the Dobermann to be ineffective in this department, the flies get away and he is in danger of putting my windows in.

I use the Hubby and teatowel method, highly effective but only out of his working hours

My 2 try and catch them but I am working hard to stop them as I am paranoid they will catch wasps and bees as well

We've got a curtain at the kitchen door that works a bit but we're still getting flies in especially over the last couple of weeks.

Any suggestions gratefully received!
Whatever comes to hand that can be used to swat them with.
