What a price to cover floors!

I had a shock today, went along to my local Tilemarket as they have a 50% sale on, ordered the tiles for the kitchen/diner, utility, cloakroom and one of the ensuites (which is tiny).
Ok, two of the rooms have wall tiles as well but not the kitchen this time round.
Ok, so the utility has what looks like real stone but its only 6 sq yds to cover
Ouch! €3,500 including the goo.

Still have the downstairs bedroom to carpet (builder says I should have laminate 'cos of the dogs but he's never gonna see inside my bedroom once I've moved in! ) plus the lounge and hall to do in oak flooring......

There goes all hopes of curtains in the foreseeable future!

Thats a lot deccy!!! We paid about £1000 for our Oakwood flooring in our dining room, hallway and downstairs loo, and that hurt a lot!

It is beautiful though!!!

Looks like it will be bed sheets at the windows for a while

(or a trip to Ikea for £9 a pair curtains )

"Ouch!" indeed!!!

It's going to look pretty amazing though! I think you're right to go with carpet in the bedroom.

Don't forget my costs are in euro's! Still bad thogh, the oak solid wood is 80 euro per square metre, the builder says he knows a place in the NOrth (NI) which is a lot cheaper as he is doing his own hall in it.
No Ikea here, I think the first one has recently opened in Dublin though.
Looks like sheets!
