Tommy, Staffie, DOB 08 - Gatwick, Surrey
Tommy, Staffie, DOB 08 - Gatwick, Surrey
Homing Requirements: Tommy needs companionship and a family who put time and loving into their dogs. Another dog would be ideal. A secure terrier proof garden with 6' panel fencing in good repair would help as he was in the habit of getting out of his last 2 homes with minimal fencing; open front door etc.
His Story: Tommy grew up with 2 other Staffies with a 'numb skull' (quotes dog warden) owner! Dog warden put pressure on the family as they kept picking Tommy up off the streets so he was passed onto a 'macho brother' who didn't care. When the dog warden found Tommy again the brother wasn't interested in taking him back. On meeting the dog warden was hoping he wouldn't for Tommy's sake! The dog warden loved Tommy deeply by then. Tommy had lived with 'loads of children'. The call went out as Tommy was the only one they hadn't got out of the pound into rescue and he was going to be put to sleep the next morning. A sister rescue took him out and neutered him and we brought him into boarding kennels and into our safe and loving care. Neutered, vax'd and chipped.
Advert: Tommy is an excellent Staffie who has that 'Staffie appeal' that gets everyone cooing and queuing up to walk him. He thinks dogs are great, people are great children are great in fact life is just great! His only issue is when placed in isolation and separated from either his people or bored he will engineer his mind into finding that connection and that fun. Tommy walks well on the lead, travels well in the car, loves vets and being out and about.
Tommy's family will be everything to him and they need to centre around his needs which will be an unique experience for him and WOW will he heap the love and charm on in return. Yes Tommy is a great ambassador for his breed and would suit a first time Staffie owner family who having dogs before will, give him confidence, training and shock their family- can't believe you've homed 'one of
those dogs'...'isn't he fantastic!'
"Please note this dog is currently in boarding kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".
