Back to Doctors today... Results...

Pretty inconclusive really

My blood tests came back normal (apart from a low platelet count and even more anaemic than usual), the inflammation test was normal as was rheumatoid factor.

X rays came back normal - but he's flummoxed so has referred me anyway.

He was really lovely about it and said we could either, leave it now that my fingers are no longer causing me pain (until next time) or see a rheumatologist and then said 'I know what I'd do but it's whether you feel strong enough to go through it' which I thought was really lovely.

Anyway, I have an appointment on 16th Jan to see a rheumatologist and he's going to try and find out if there's anyone who deals with Klippel Trenaunay to see if it is just related to what I already have going on.

I've also got another flaming course of antibiotics - this time for 2 weeks to see if we can clear up this infection which is still raging on about 6 weeks after it started!

Sorry to hear you didn't get the type of results, that might have just needed a course of treatment lottie, you do seem to be going through the mill with your health recently. Its always worse thou when they just don't know why its happening. a friend of mine had a similer problem with her fingers and it turned out she had become allergic to copper coins. she worked in a shop. I hope you have more good days than bad. like your shop by the way.

Thanks Lynn

It's a bit gutting because I thought when I was about 18 and my health calmed down a bit that that would be it for a while, but on the other hand, I have to look back and think it's nowhere near as bad as it was!

I guess it can only be a plus that the tests were normal - even though I don't know what it is.

I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for you, not knowing what the cause is. but i do feel that you will weather it through, like most of the things that your illness must have thrown at you over the years.
some would have just given up, but from what i'v read over the last months, you have soldiered on and upwards sometimes slipping two steps back but then taking three forward. good for you hun

Not really what you wanted to hear, hon, but it could have been so much worse.
Good luck with the specialist in January - hopefully it's another step forward towards a normal life for you.

Huge hugs x0x0x0x

Sorry to hear your results weren't much of a help to you, Lottie. Hopefully the visit to the specialist brings you some answers which will help you. All best and take care.
