Cheers for that, you have eased my mind. Now just to decide between a red or black brindle dog

Are there any particular lines to look for in the pedigree eg I have noticed "black tusker" is in a lot of staffis pedigrees.

tom check out what style of stafford you really like investigate what close relatives of the style of dog you like look like talk to a lot of people ,but remember you get a lot of backbiting in the world of dogs the main thing is take your time and dont rush in to getting a dog you maybe dont really like... wait until you get what suits yourself and what you will be happy with

I have looked on loads of websites, and am going to visit crufts, so should get a better idea after that. Im not really into the big headed dogs like some of the champions (cassanova etc), I prefer the more traditional athletic look.

Do you havy info on different lines?

I would of been interested in the Irish lines, except twice now I have gone to have a look at pups, and both times some mug was trying to sell me pitbull pups, one even admitted it!

It seems really difficult to find a pure bred Irish line of staffy like the Dublin Red's, because most of the breeders don't sell to the public, and I don't fancy a cross breed

I'm sure you'll find some dogs you like at Crufts.....there'll be enough to choose from LOL
Buy a catalogue and you will be able to see the dogs name and breeding .
