real chocolate?

I went to Marks and Spencer yesterday to buy some wine. I have a habit of always looking in the pet food section of any shop/supermarket I go into, and to my horror - M&S sell Chocolate dog biscuits - it even says 'made with real chocolate' on the packet!!!!!!

I couldn't beleive it, so i bought some to show my OH, he couldn't beleive it either.

I my shock 'over the top' or is anybody else shocked at this?

I'm sorry archer, it isn't - I use 100% carob in our treats - I wouldn't dream of using chocolate.

have a look at:

I think you'll find most shop bought doggy chocs are normal chocolate...I have seen some that state they are made of carob but it still seems a relatively 'new' idea from what I have seen...but then since I don't feed mine any kind of choccy treats maybe I'm not looking hard enough

I always thought they were a special chocolate which wasn't harmful for dogs.
