dangerous dogs act.. what can be a dangerous dog

im sure you've all read my story about my bosses aggressive dog.
well i had a frightening experience with him today where i was literally cornered by him with him growling at me.

can anyone tell me if this consitutes as a dangerous dog? im sure ive read somewhere that the dog doesnt have to bite, but if he 'worries' or 'scares' someone then he is classed as dangerous.

not sayin i would want to report it, as i dont think the poor dog needs to be pts, just needs a different owner. but i was actually scared and shaking and felt that if i had moved he would have bitten me.

But were you required by your work or your boss to go there, if so it must be against the employment law, if not then I would not go there again.

no it was not required. it was the route we decided to take to get to another part of the kennels, altho i was not aware that this was part of her property.

my own fault probably for being there in the first place, but i have been threatened by this dog on kennel property and he is brought in weekly for a brush and every 4 weeks for a bath, in which i am required to take part in.

Jenny this is a difficult one but if you feel threatened by this dog I think you should say so before considering any other action. If after you have told your boss that his dog makes you feel threatened and that you think you may be bitten by it and he or she does nothing to help you then you would have reason to take your complaint further.

Not sure but the CAB would be able to help you, but first make sure you have told your bosses how your feel, then if there is no effort to make sure you are not threatened by this dog you should write to them telling them that although you love your job you do not think you should have to be worried every day that their dog may attack you. If you still get no help then ring the CAB and explain how you feel and they will advise you what action you can and should take. It is important that you proceed with care if you do not want to loose your job.
