HWtM and Mia

Well I was brave last night and took Mia to her first heelwork to music class last night

Heart in mouth if she would be able to cope in the class!

I planned to get in early so I could settle her in the room before the other dogs came - but they were earlier than us

Westie N was there so Mia said hello to Molly, and for Mia she was fairly calm

So I walked into the class

and Mia was excited like a puppy - all waggy, flirting with other dogs!!

Loved the class, Mia was happy to show off and mainly focused on me. There was one reactive dog in the class that made Mia a little nervous and a couple of times new dogs came into the class and unnerved her slightly, but all reactions were ony a couple of barks then she was able to focus and be happy again!!

She was even offlead in the middle of the class to learn a new trick - and she didnt try andkill anyone

Ben on the other hand was a barky nightmare - and stressed with how close some of the other dogs were getting to me poor boy, I didnt realise how much he has been protecting us while I have been focusing on Mia - will have to work on that!!

anyway - great class, I am so proud of my little Mia

Sounds like fun. Daisy and I love HTM classes. We`d never compete, but all that reward based problem solving is just brilliant for her.

Aww - you would be amazed at the amount of 'Dodgy dogs' that make it into the ring
