Cavalier knots !

I give both the boys a good brush each and every day, but Harvey always has those matted knots under his ears. I end up cutting into the knot to get the brush through, but can't believe how often they re-appear. Having sat on the floor with him for nearly an hour this evening, they are still there and very close to his actual ear.... please any tips other than what I am doing already x

the best way to get them out is to sit and break them down you can put some of that silk spirits on your fingers and rub through the knott

what bits are left you can trim as rubbing them should seperate the knott and it take away from the ear

Ear cots. I use grades of combs. I start with with a wide tooth comb until get a fine tooth comb. If its a really matted cot, I would cut into it.

I also twist the hair once to help with tugging.

combs are great but tend to pull so fingers are much kinder i always find that the knott loosens easily
