Does this sound like a slipped disc?

Our dog has been going thru multiple testing over the last 2 months for IBD and elevated liver enzymes. Starting on the 11th, she started to have trouble getting on furniture. We took her to our clinic and saw a diff doc than we normally see who suggested a slipped disc...she said our dog looked at her when she pressed her back. Gave her pain pills, I thought she was nuts with everything else going on...and when our normal vet returned we had blood tests that showed even higher liver enzymes....so we schedules a biopsy for the 19th. Over that week...it became difficult for our dog to just get up, even on carpet. When we went in for the biopsy, the internal vet said it was possible her liver and intestinal inflammation could be causing the pain. After the procedure, we took her to the ER to have her fast breathing checked. The ER doc again referred to a possible slipped disc, and heavy breathing and panting due to pain. He increased pain meds while we wait to talk to our internal guy tomorrow and hopefully have biopsies by end of week. She's extremely lethargic, we support her back end with a sling to get outside and go potty, and she immediately plops down when we get in. She doesnt whine in pain...just really doesnt move all day. Shes on Tramadol, and Prednisone and Pepcid for other isuspected IBD issues. So she can do some walking while supported...she's eating and drinking when we offer it, peeing normally, but has had diarrhea since the anesthesia, and no poop in the last 24 which they said was normal. Anxiously awaiting my vets call tomorrow, but wondering if anyone had any similar situations.

Hi, how old is your dog?

Elevated enzymes/IBD could indicate a parasite infection - is anyone else in the family poorly?

Either way I would move to a species appropriate diet with plenty of probiotics, and/or get some stool tests done (although these are not great unless the technician gets a 'fresh' sample).

She's only 4 years old. No one else is sick...humans or the cat. We have done stool tests and they tested for giardia. Once we get biopsies back we will figure out the diet. He just kept her on roce and beef for the last week because she had started vomittinf again on a new proteined kibbled, and it became all she would eat.
