Why is dog coughing and sneezing?

Hi, I've noticed for the past week or so my dog has been coughing and sneezing quite a bit. He tends to cough a lot anyways after he eats or drinks because he consumes these things so fast and is crazy hyper, but this is different. Can this be some type of allergies? Because other than that, he seems his usual self.

Thanks!

-Shannon

Hi, yes, I've thought of that. My sister actually brought him into the dog day care where she works on Tuesday, and I started noticing this on Wednesday. However, he had the Bordetella vaccination for this specific reason, and she also says it has a longer incubation time than 1 day. Could it be contracted that quickly? And how constant does the cough have to be? They had outbreaks of it there months ago, but everyone was said to have been resolved by now...

How old is your dog? When did this start?

I'd have thought kennel cough too.

If you think he's eating too fast, try feeding him a little at a time to see if there's any difference.

What breed is your dog?
Might be just a cold as my 3 Pugs and my cat all had a cold a couple of months ago, yet two of the longer nosed dogs avoided it.

Hi, Oliver is about 8 months old. We took in a stray that had a litter of 10 in our garage, so we have no idea what he is. He's the cutest mutt though! He looks part lab, part ridgeback. He's tan about 45 pounds. The cough/sneeze started about 5 days ago.

Thanks,

Shannon

I would see a vet. It is possible that he has inhaled something that is irritating his nose.

Isn't there more than one strain of KC??? And a vaccinated dog can still get it, I would have a word with the vet just to be sure it isn't anything to worry about

Hi, I haven't heard it too much lately. Heard it this morning, a consistent cough, and thought maybe he was going to throw up. Was gonna get him water, but then it just stopped...
