Motherwell/Lanarkshire Walks?

Hay all,

Any one know any good walk's in the Motherwell Lanarkshire areas?

I have 2/3 "normal" walk's that I use but I would like to mix it up with a new area and find some new walks.

Any suggestions?

Also...I dont drive so if any one can think of good places within publice transport use? (could get driven if it was a really good option though!)

Have ya been to Chatelherault Country Park over at Hamilton? It has some nice walks set in 500acres

Not been there yet as have been told it has some big gorges and things and my boy is very curious still so id be worried about him getting into toruble! It is defo a place for when he is a bit older.

I was thinking of heading up to the Dalziel PArk and Barons Haugh.

There are a few different sort of trails in Chatelherault. Jeez Barons Haugh I forgot about not been there for years If ya go let me know how it was

Oh barons haugh is the best! Me and jake love it there Chatelrault (sp?) is good but I dont let jake offlead there. Calderglen is another good one
