Not exactly a Medic ID bracelet or suchlike [not available] but I do have a couple of "warnings" engraved on a tag on my keyring, plus full details on a card which is in the wallet of my ID card and my medical information can be accessed by the emergency services through my ID number.

I got Jon an Autism Alert Card. It's not exactly a card as such, it's a small (credit card sized) plastic folder that fits into his wallet.

It has a plastic card inside it that states that the holder has Autism and also includes a fold out document that explains a bit about Autism and what people who have it can be like in social situations.

He can just hand it over to people if he finds himself completely overwhelmed in a situation, and hopefully they will look at it and be more understanding of his issues. I'd been noticing the odd looks he often gets when we're out in public (Tesco for instance), and for his own safety I wanted him to have something "official" to explain his condition in case it was ever needed.

I looked at the medical alert bracelets but have you seen the price? I doubt most people would recognise them if they saw them anyway. I carry a piece of card in my purse that says I have epilepsy and has an emergency contact name and number on it. I figure anyone looking for ID will find it.
