poorly tortoise needs good wishes...

My mum's tortoise hasn't been doing so well after coming out of hibernation and has been rushed to the vets tonight for emergency treatment. It isn't looking very hopeful...

It's very sad because there's so little you can do to help tortoises and they're so helpless when they're ill.

Awww Minda, I really hope the vet can do somehting to help. Maybe more can be done than you think

One of the Dads on the playground today said that he found a tortoise on the railway tracks last week and took it to a sanctuary who had to amputate one of its legs apparently it is about 80 years old (Don't know how they can tell) but the Dad said that it must have been thrown from a train because of where it was found !!!
