Why? Is it rocket science, this dog-owning game?

A friend has been given a pup to rehome. He`s beautiful pedigree yellow lab. The owners have asked she rehome because he`s destroying their house.
He`s 10 months old. He`s never been for a walk or on a lead so he doesn`t recall or know his name. He`s left 9 hours a day so is not house-trained properly and is chewing from boredom.
Apparently they were told a Lab shouldn`t be walked till it was a year old. Well, that`s what they told her.
He`s a lovely boy, surprisingly happy and is going to a proper home next week.
I`m continually gobsmacked by the capacity of the human race to prove Darwin wrong.

For God's Sake!! How utterly insane and moronic are people!! I cannot stand some people's attitude to getting a dog - "awww but puppies are so cute and then they growd up and bite fings so we'll just get a puppy and send it to on of 'em rescue places and they can find someone else for it".

Twats, the lot of them!!!

Seriously, how dumb can you be? didn't a lightblub flick on when they saw people with young dogs and puppies out and about (particularly as Labs are not exactly rare!)?

Please Lord don't let these numb-nuts aquire another dog.

At least he's going to a good home now. I'm sure he'll pick everything up really quickly

omg were they serious. Surely the would have seen young dogs out, even when going to the shops or something. Poor dog has not training, no mental stimulation and no walks to keep him occupied during the day

poor poor boy

Oh dear, well at lest he is getting a good chance now
Really people are sooo dumb, I know teenage dogs can be a nightmare - but walking, training and crating all stop a dog chewing up the house
