No but i work at the legal services, so if the previous owner has been granted legal aid the defence cost for the case will come to us.
I usually assess the animal cases which is why i asked, as there is only about 4 firms nationally which deal with RSPCA cases.

Oh what a pity i don't know that info - the RSPCA prob wouldn't tell me anyway for legal reasons would they ? So with the benefit of your experience, on the little info i have given what do you think the probable outcome would be ?

I`m glad your dog has found a new home with you - well done for doing such a great job. I hope they ban these people from keeping dogs again.

If the rspca have strong evidence to present at court, which by the sounds of it they have got a strong case together, then the panel of magistrates will find them guilty, they will propabaly be facing the costs of the case, if the rspca push for it, and possibly ban on keeping animals, unfortunately they don't get sentenced hard enough from my experience for their deeds.
It also depends on which firm is representing them as their are some who specialise in this area of the law, and good at what they do, which could have an impact on the outcome.
As it depends on how good they can dispute the rspca evidence.

Not really, you might even be asked to take her into court, nothing like before and after when it is staring you in the face.
Although it is not common.... but it would bring it home.
