My first dog (and a family one) was Pebbles a Jack Russel who got pts last year at nearly 19 years old.

I now own Springers and still have them both, nearly 3 years old and nearly a year old

Apart from a lurcher which we owned for a brief time (he sadly died at 14 months) when I was 5, I have always & still do have a GSD.

I grew up with a collie-cross. My first dog was a fab little Lhasa Apso who died nearly a year ago aged 15yrs. I wanted a small dog as at the time we lived on a island in the middle of the Thames with boat access only. I then decided I wanted a dog with the 'shaggy' coat but longer legs so I now have two gorgeous 6 month old Tibetan Terriers

Rough Collie

Well, strictly speaking he was a family dog; we got him when I was 12 but he was bought for me specifically. Absolutely adored him, wonderful dog he was.

I did consider getting another RC last year when I was ready to get another dog. However, I was set on getting a rescue, and thankfully RCs do not seem to come into rescue very much, if at all.

So now 'my' breed is a Labrador and I utterly adore him too

Afghan hound. I never had another - too much grooming for me!

My first dog was an Afghan Hound, I owned them for about 25 years. I don't own one now as they caused all sorts of allergy problems. I gradually introduced my B's as the afghans passed over so had both breeds for about 6 years.

Technically my first dog was a crossbred from the RSPCA!
