sorry did this as a reply but pressed new topic instead. I have already stated that I crate train my dogs in my previous post, but have to add, my bitch having recently had a litter, I have kept two of the pups, and along with the adult dogs they seemed contented to sleep at night with them rather than being crated, soo last week the first incident happened, they pulled the speaker front off my wide screen TV and took the glass door off, followed by eating my viewing card so rather than replacing the speaker front (still intact) and the glass door (also still intact) I left it open so as not to let them cause any more damage, still did not crate them last night they ate the replacement card, so as far as I am concerned in the crate they will go, like my dogs before them, and this will save any more damage, my dogs will still be with the adults as the crate is in same room, and I can go to bed without wondering what else is going to be eaten during the night.

I put my crate away at xmas and then a coulpe of weeks ago got my small one out again since Zara wasn't feeling too well and I wanted to give her some peace and quiet. Well its still in the back room and is usually occupied by my 4 year old elkie...trouple is the crate was brought for the dogs as PUPPIES!!! but he just won't be told hes too big for it and squeezes in ...looks like a sardine in a tin!

Mine sit like that although I'd be on the floor cos Libs would be on the other sofa

As you see mine arn't crated either. I can relate to always being on the floor lel





We bought some cages with good intentions but the dogs just sort of took over

Well I am glad to see that I am not the only one who goes against every behaviorist and lets her dog on the sofa

only problem I then have is cos he thinks its ok to go on the sofa - he then does this

well as you can see lel - I dont !!! I think a pet is exactly that and if I wanted a guard dog I would have one outside in the garden - Bruno lives in the house and is my baby !!!

whats worse - is when its really cold - I get awakened by a very cold nose lifting the duvet and then he slowly crawls under it ( between the sheet and the duvet) and then plonks himself down in the middle of the bed - and procedes to snore his head off - in the summer he stays on the top but gradually pulls all the covers off my husband and then he wakes up and moans at me for pulling the covers off him !!!
