Fresh chicken / can it be used to replace one meal of complete puppy food?

Hi all,
Can i feed our pup fresh chicken breast,poached/boiled in place of one of his puppy food feeds?

Chicken is fine...mine get raw chicken...

Thing is you are replacing a complete meal with chicken only, which on it's own isn't a complete meal.

Which would be fine if you were replacing other kibble meals with a variety of other things to balance the diet.

But in my opinion, I would think just replacing a kibble meal for a meal of chicken only would imbalance the overall diet.

You can do, maybe try adding a bit of raw veg in too? Mine have chicken and raw carrot all the time and they adore it!

Yes chicken is fine, don't bother cooking if you are sure it is fresh.

while I was feeding kibble I used to give mine some chicken etc but it was sporadic and on top of their other food...But if you plan to replace a kibble meal very regularly I would think you would need to think about balance in the long run

Oh gosh yes, you can't just feed chicken, thought Sal meant was it ok to give chicken on occasion or for one of the 4 meals once or twice a week.

Didn't mean to feed everyday,maybe just 2-3 times a week.

Poppy gets chicken and pasta with carrot, brocolli and a small boiled potatoe once a week, she loves it! She's actually gone off red meat, she used to get lamb or beef once a week, but the last couple of times I've given her minced beef, she's walked away from the bowl, but chicken ....... she'll love you forever!!
