Can you get your own vet to see him and give him something,he's so very young and vulnerable. I agree its not that likely to be kennel cough so it could be an infection that needs prompt attentiom

Don't get me started on their weird rules, until he reaches 10 days old he's considered non viable, basically if he dies, he dies. I can't take him to the vets she's taken him into work today. He's eating well just snuffley but I agree if he was mine he'd be at the vets getting attention. Especially with everything being closed for 2 days minimum. None of mine have even been in the same room as him since he arrived, so there's no way any of them have passed anything on. We constantly wash hands before and after handling too. I'll be gutted if he doesn't make it.

Thank goodness she has a forever home, but worried about their '10 day rule' I would be off to my vet with him, but if she's taken him to work with her (not a good idea in my opinion) you can't. He is so vulnerable to infection, will have none of mum's antibodies and personally I don't allow anyone near my puppies (even the other girls) till at least 4 weeks, never mind taking them anywhere

That's the problem though, she's taken him to work as she works at Battersea so the vet there will have a look at him and he's their property but the place is full of dogs with who knows what. He'll be in the veterinary area so no different to being kept at the vets but he'd be better off here out of reach of more germs.
The 10 day rule is cruel if that's how they feel they'd be better euthanizing at birth.

You've bonded with them at 10 days, heartbreaking, they are little beings, eyes opening and beginning to crawl

He's back home, seems none the worse for his day out, they've changed the feeding teats as they think he needs to slow down when feeding, which currently takes nano seconds so slowing down will be no bad thing. He's as lively as ever and showing no signs of being off colour, just the snuffley noises.

The vet gave him the once over and says he's fine, so we'll have to trust him.
