Morning - Dogsey Daily Thread - Friday

Morning all Dogsey Peops and Happy Easter:grin

Up early again, which is a good thing as it means I won't be waking up too late after the clocks go forward tomorrow night.

Did something really stupid last night and deleted all the pics on the camera, forgetting that I had loads of shots of that garden fox and I wanted to show Dave I'm going to see if it's got some kind of recycle bin in it and see if I can retrieve them. I waited so long for those shots, and that fox was up there for 10 mins or more, got some lovely pics of him staring down at me, when I opened the window, with his front feet on the little wall, I'm so annoyed with meself

Well, is the van ready for them to hand us the keys today I wonder, we'll be finding out at 10.30 when we go up there. Still nice and dry darn sarf, and we may even get the sunshine again today. Yesterday really was like a spring day down here apart from the cold.

Going up on the top this morning instead of the beach, there's a new track I want to explore whilst I have Dave with me, and my neighbour tells me, that when the bluebells appear, it's a sight to behold up there and not many people use that track cos it's such a steep climb back up, so I want to take the camera. Hence the reason I deleted all the pics yesterday

Lynn, I hope Dillon is settling down again for you, and that the house is ready to go on the market soon. Hope everyone else is well and looking forward to a nice 4 day break away from work. I prefer this holiday to Christmas, there's none of that hype and commercialism that goes on around it. Then again, I'm always on holiday now aren't I, well, I'm supposed to be, doesn't feel much like it though

Have a lovely day and I'm sure you're all doing something exciting, even my neighbours have taken themselves off to Thorpe Park for the week-end, so I'll be enjoying some peace and quiet, which is all I want really, I'm easily pleased

Morning H and all

What a shame you lost your photos of the fox, I hope you can find them again. Enjoy your walk, it's sunny here atm. I was in Farnham yesterday and we had sleet!

Very exciting getting the official handover of the caravan, just need the bookings to come in now.

It's been a hectic few days what with going to work when I wasn't expecting to! I am working for the next four days so roll on Tuesday!

Have a good day all

I changed all my clocks yesterday evening - and guess what - I have missed one! Anyhow, after Da Booger got me up twice in the night I actually woke on time [well the clocks said 8am but of course it was really only 7am] so she got pilled while still flonked on the bed and I flonked back in and hadda nuther coupla hours kip.

Macolet open so will have to go and get some vegetables and salad stuff but I doubt he has anything fresh as he has been closed since Monday afternoon. Not quite sure how I am going to get away with hiding my face but I guess I will just have to face people [pun, sorry ] and hope they will ignore it. Better go quickly and hope he has something decent, so be back later.

Morning H and all,

Lily and I had a nice walk this morning round a place we havn't been for a while.
I have been and done mums shopping and will take it over to her soon and do all her housework. I am then heading off to meet a friend for coffee and cake at a garden center.

Charly and Ash will be heading off to Devon this morning at some point. They said they were leaving at 9am but as they are not up yet I can't see that happening . So I will leave them a note if I don't see them, wishing them a safe journey and good time. They will be back for my birthday as we are all going out for a nice meal the night before with my sons and families too.

Enjoy your walk H and I hope that van is all ready for you today.

Hope you all have a good day whatever your plans.

Good morning everyone and HAPPY EASTER! I hope you get lots of choklit!

Helena - google 'deleted photos off my camera can I retrieve them' there is a wealth of info on the subject. However, as quite a bit of it seems to say you can purchase things to do the job and other info looks a bit complicated (to me!) I am guessing it is not as easy as just looking in a virtual cash tran and reinstating them, but it can be done. I assume they were on a memory card?

*I'm saving my best news 'til last!

Malka I wouldn't bother trying to hide your face - if you get bored with people asking what happened - just make up a really exciting story about it!

When I had a huge scar following surgery some years back and anyone who saw it asked what caused it - I'd tell them I was attacked by a madman with a knife! (I was - just that the madman was an NHS surgeon!)

SOMEONE HAS JUST BEEN TO MEASURE UP THE POOL TABLE! WOO HOO!

I think the owner got wobbly worrying I might sell it for a pittance after I told him someone offered half what he wanted!

A friend of his brother (who tells me he lives in another apartment owned by same bloke - geez he must own half of Larnaca - he's got 4 in this block) came round and said he will need a crane but hopes to get something sorted today.

I can't believe it is really going! And to think I was going to get the Romanians to put it outside later today. (As this guy just rang the bell and didn't phone first it's just occurred to me I've no way of contacting him if he doesn't come back?) hmmmm...

On our walk earlier this morning over the fields we were walking through CLOUDS of butterflies and lovely dragonflies. I've never seen so many dragonflies at one time! The looked like convoys of little helicopters. Lots of swallows and other birds all zooming around today too. (Wonder if this means anything other than Spring has Sprung?)

My son has just informed me that Brit Rail are doing essential track work over the Easter weekend (typical) and that there are no fast trains to Heathrow from Bath. (And the only reason he paid for the more expensive flights was to go from HRW not Gatwick) and it is now going to take FOUR HOURS by train to get to HRW. Dagnammit. How ridiculous is that - the flight to Cyprus is only about 20 mins longer than that!

*pool table is going pool table is going pool table is going
*farewell dear pool table we've come to know each other well
*with your pseudo black leather clothing and your multi coloured balls
*I bid you adieu!
*doing the happy dance!

Good morning fellow members a beautiful sunny day but very cold.

I completed the emulsion painting of my bedroom yesterday, today I move onto the gloss. It will be a relief when I have finished it all, I hate decorating .

Enjoy your day everyone
