Weird animal!!!

I have the strangest dog!
Every morning when she gets up Pepsi has a Markie, this keeps her going until after her walk when she has breakfast.
Today as usual hubby gave her the Markie, which she dropped on the floor. She then asked to go out into the garden. Hubby opened door without thinking and out she went.
After a about 5 minutes she was back with muddied snout and paws! Yes she had buried her Markie!
WHY? she has never, in the 4 years that we have had her, buried anything.
Strange dog

Didn't fancy it right then, was just saving it for later
If you give Lacey something and she isn't hungry, she parades around with it in her mouth,Constantly whining looking for somewhere to bury it like we steal her food all the time!
So deeply embedded in them, not something they are taught,it's just instinct..amazing isn't it?

Nippy that may mean Pepsi wasn't feeling quite well this morning if she usually eats her biscuit .

With Sophie she's just being obnoxious. She never felt the need to bury things until we got Callie. Now from time to time she'll steal a biscuit or rawhide from him and bury it some obvious place in the backyard. She doesn't want it, she just wants to hide it from him in her own way. Callie doesn't bury things he just excavates

She didn't want it straight away and didn't want you or Brian to have it either.
