How long to soak puppy food?

Hi

We got Daisy a couple of weeks ago and the breeder told us to soak her food. I just wondered how long we should keep soaking it. I know some people soak the adult dog food too.

Nor did I.

Seems a bit daft deciding to feed DRY food and then make it wet and soggy food.

I soak my dogs food and I use hot not boiling water and leave it till its cool enough to feed.
If your pup was on soaked food with the breeder then I would slowly just add less water till your puppy is used to it.
Not sure what breed your pup is but I have known some smaller breeds to have trouble with hard kibble while they are small puppies. Soaking it also helps to make sure your pup is getting adequate liquid too.

Thanks madmare She is a lab and we were doing the same as you soaking with boiling water and leaving until it had cooled. I gave her it dry this morning and she gobbled it down no problems (although not as quickly lol)
