Hi & Welcome to Dogsey,
Any bleed tbh I would ask for expert advise, your vet will be able to do a thorough examination - wishing Jezebell a speedy recovery x

Can you give us a bit more info?

From what you describe, it sounds like she's constipated, and the bleeding could be from minor damage to the GI lining from straining, and if so then it's easily repairable.

How much blood are we talking about? What is the poo like when it comes out - hard and crumbly or soft or diarrhoea?

Most importantly, what are you feeding?

Is this it?

Lifestage Puppy

Meat and animal derivatives (Min 45% chicken, min 16% lamb, min 10% Tripe, min 12% rice), derivatives of vegetable origin, seaweed extract, herbs, minerals and vitamins

Protein (14.0%), Oil (6.5%), Ash (3.0%), Fibre (0.5%), Moisture (75.0%), Vitamin A (2500iu/kg), vitamin D3 (200iu/kg) and vitamin E (16mg/kg)
If so, as a complete food it looks pretty good.

To me, it sounds like constipation especially if the blood is just spotting.

Try and get some slippery elm bark powder asap, and give just a tiny bit with each meal (how heavy is she?). Slippery elm has a mucousy element to it so it's great for soothing and lining the GI tract - it would be perfect for your pup.

Also, alfalfa powder would be great, from the same place -

I mixed both together with a little warm water for my pup and her poop normalised within a week!

Wow! that was quick! Just to check, it's slippery elm bark, yes?

For quantity, human dosage is 1 teaspoon 3 times daily, so for my pup, I took my body weight (60kg) and averaged out a dosage based on her weight - she was 10kg so I gave her half a teaspoon a day.

It's not something you can overdose anyway, so I must admit, my quantities did become a bit haphazard in the end!

Oh heck, I can't really remember!

Well, given that average passing time through the body of a dog is only 24-48 hours, then I would say you "could" see a difference in 48 hours. Give it 3 days and I would say you will see a difference then.
