My 14wk puppy eating moss

hi,
looking for advice regarding my 14wk old wheaten terrier eating moss from the garden.I try to stop him but he keeps doing it and I am worried if he is harming himself. We have a brick pond and he seems to enjoy nibbling dry moss from the bricks every time he passes. Is this harmless?or should I try spraying the moss with bitter spray?

I have tried taking most of it off but the pond is quite big and it's grown in the grass around the pond aswell

It shouldn't harm him unless you have treated with chemicals. However, if he eats enough of it, it is likely to make him sick
