my ckcs has a real thing against another ckcs that lives down our street everytime we pass the house she lets out a growl and bark - does my head in.

The ckcs that lives there is an old boy and really quiet, he never so much as gave her a look so tbh dont really know what is going on with her. She has never shown any behaviour like this to any dog or human so i guess its just that he gets on her goat.

Shady suffers with fear aggression with other dogs and does sound like the devil dog reincarnated when a dog approaches her.
We have however made some progress and there are a few quieter dogs she is happy to be off lead with and them off lead with her. Last week we had another little breakthrough and she was relaxed and off lead with two scatty dogs (at different times) and they were kept onlead so they couldn't chase her. She did sniff one who tried to leap on her so she went rigid, but I distracted her and she then continued to happily play frisbee while I chatted to the owner.
Milo loves all dogs except for some reason any husky types. I have only just found this out after meeting a few on and off. I can only put it down to the face markings they have as he will growl at them, something he has never done to a dog in his life.

If there has been no improvement you really need to change your behaviourist! I think a dog club might be better as the only way to address dog-dog aggression is around other dogs in a controlled environment IMO
Whereabouts are you? Maybe someone can recommend someone?

i find it so annoying i tried my best to socialise him, determined to have a dog that would be fine with other dogs, i think next time i will jus get one from an adult so i already know what they are like.
a young dog just ran up to us at the park and rolled on its back, it was a cocker spaniel, my gsd got it by the neck and made it yelp and it still wanted to play. why cant i have a dog like that??
i want to be able stand with everyone else at the park and have my dog offlead playing with all the others....no bloody chance

How old is your GS?
Ours will be 2 in June and it has taken her this long to get use to other dogs, she was socialise from when we got her at 8 weeks.
Some peole may not believe in this but we ended up with a little sprayer she only has to look at it and she stops barking, we have only ever had to spray her a couple of times if that and we only used it for a few months.
My Other half has trained her really well and she has been of the lead since she was about 15 months, she stopped barking at dogs while we were walking but if she was on the lead she would start again, so when we were in town walking she would bark people do give you some funny looks and all you want to say to them she's a puppy and scared but they wouldn't listen, but as time has gone by she has got better and only barks at certian dogs and people, I don't know if it's her age.
