Windows Movie Maker and a camcorder about to thrown out of the window...

Got some footage of Ben taken on a camcorder today, so tried to download it.

Finally got the driver disks installed and camera connected. However, when connected to Moviemaker, it stops and freezes without downloading anything, when trying to download using Nero, it goes in an endless loop of selecting source, then shutting down and re-opening the start window. Don't have firewire, so unless it can be downloaded for free, it's not an option!!!!

Using Windows XP. Have switched it off and re-started a few times as well, but keeps doing the same thing.

My patience is now like the knees in my favourite jeans - wearing thin!!!!!!!!!

Please help.

I don't know much about camcorders tbh.. .but I would try to get the _latest_ drivers from the camcorders website and try that..

Thanks Azz....I have tried uninstalling the existing Drivers then reinstalling and I have tried installing updates from JVC's site (well when I say I, I kind of mean my OH!!)

Leo has pm'd me some advice I will try when I get home...

Can't believe I have video of Ben being friendly with other dogs and I can't do anything with it except watch it on a tiny camcorder screen or link Camcorder to TV.

Can't help I'm afraid, but what a shame I would be furious

Its it so annoying isnt it when you want to share something on here and you cant get it to work , you have my sympathies, hopefully you will get it sorted and then we can all see it.
