Just caught up with all this. You poor love!!!!! I've nothing new to add really. I probably wouldn't even dignify her with proof. Dont sink to her level, leave it aside and move on.
Lots of hugs to you and your boy.xxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks, but the interview was Wednesday they will let me know either way today. I'm not optimistic and I am still looking elsewhere.
That reminds me, the agency wanted references so I'd better sort that out right now!
I did 6 hours decorating yesterday with breaks to let Deccy run around the "garden" (an acre that resembles a bombsite at the moment) so I hope I don't suddenly get another interview - I'll be moving like a geriatric!
Deccy is a happy boy today and has even eaten his brekkie.

No news on the job front, just as well as I need another week to sort the house out!
I am off to a show tomorrow, we'll see how many people comment on Polo, hopefully they will avoid the topic. I really missed him last night and could almost feel his big cuddly body next to me. I miss being woken at 630am when he wanted a wee, Deccy left me sleeping until 8 this morning ...... it's the end of an era.

So sorry about your run of bad luck!
It is hard enough losing a menber of the 'family' without having to cope with the woman.
I dont know if getting written proof from the vet will help at all (apart from making you feel a bit easier). I honestly dont think it will penetrate her thick skull!

I am thinking of you all, keeping everything crossed and wishing you well!

I would have no problem getting a letter from the vet but quite frankly, I don't want engage with her any more. I asked the vet at the time, what would you do if it was your dog, he said he would PTS and he would back my decision up 100% on veterinary grounds. He said that Polo was seriously ill and nothing more could be done for him.
