Dogsey trick training certification.

On another thread it seemed a good idea to have a kind of 'certification' for dogsey members (and others) which does not involve too much expense, would give people some structure and motivation for training and be fun to do.

It would mean posting videos of whatever tricks you chose to do. Maybe if we payed a bit towards each section we could give the extra to a charity.

Just posted this on the other thread

I have various thoughts but need input----'tricks' includes basic obedience 'tricks' as well as basic scent work, jumping, obstacle work, ball herding, toys, retrieving.

Three levels would be good----10 or so things to be chosen from each list at each level. That would be your basic certification at each level. Then to get intermediate certification you'd need 5 more, then for advanced at each level you'd need another 5 of each.
I'd suggest moving up in order.

Comments? Anything else you want included----would enough people be interested?

Well you know I'm interested!

Will there be options in intermediate and advanced to string behaviours together into "bigger tricks" or do them all separately in your videos...?

Edit; oh yeh, do we donate straight to a charity and then show a receipt or use something else..paypal? Just that if we were not donating straight to charity, does that make Dogsey a charity which would bring about stuff like tax and registering etc Just asking as I'm not clued up on how you would go about it....

I'd be interested except for the drawback that Cain does a trick perfectly until you point a video camera at him, at which point he falls to pieces

simple! dont worry ball herding wont be simple in this house he likes ball killing but not sure that could be classed as a trick that one is going to take us so long that you will have recorded all your videos by then! simple by comparison

Last time I video'd Louis recall I was stood looking about in circles through the thing.....eventually realising he was sitting right next to me!

I would potentially be interested not sure I 100% understand but I'm sure it will become clear in time is it a weekly thing or ongoing?

Do you have a few more examples of tricks?!
