Elderly dog smiles as she feels the wind in her face again!

A cute little dog whose owner said was feeling 'a bit down' managed to cheer his companion up by takingher for a ride on the swings.

Just like any kid, the feeling of the wind rushing by and the sensation of rocking back and forth seemed to bring a smile to the little dog's face.
...[snip]...
All dogs love the park, but apparently Juggy likes it because the swings are her favourite part.
Full article, some delightful photos of gorgous little Juggy and a video here...

And just to whet your appetite, here are a couple of the pictures - I hope you like them!

KLM's Lost and Found Service uses an adorable dog to return forgotten property!

KLM's new lost and found program is a lesson in perverse incentives. On one hand, owners who leave property behind risk losing it permanently. Then again, since lost items stand to be returned via Beagle, it may be tempting to start "accidentally" forgetting more things on the plane.

The Dutch airline has started using an adorable, vest-wearing dog to return lost property, sending him down the concourse to literally sniff out rightful owners after they've disembarked at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.

...the company said they're able to successfully return 80 percent of the items they find on planes, from iPhones to toy stuffed animals, using a combination of vigilance, social media, and at least one pup named "Sherlock."

How Designer Dogs Are Made

Morkies. Cockapoos. Chiweenies. These dogs may not have serious names, but they’re a serious business. Known as ‘hybrid’ or ‘designer’ dogs, these canines are bred with a purpose – to optimize the best qualities of each parent.

Unlike some mixed breeds, designer dogs are generally born from two purebred parents. Depending on the qualities of the offspring, one puppy can be like having two dogs in one. Labradoodles, for instance, were first bred from labradors (which are common guide dogs) and poodles (with a low-shed coat) to be hypoallergenic service dogs. Puggles – a cross between a pug and a beagle – usually have a muzzle of a beagle, which can eliminate breathing problems often associated with the short-nosed pug.

Not all hybrids are desirable. Designer-dog critics says genetic experimentations are exacerbating the problem of puppy mills. For instance, when a puggle inherits a short snout from a pug and the hunting instincts from the beagle, it may not have a respiratory system that’s equipped to handle all the exercise it needs. These unwanted dogs often end up in shelters.

Despite the controversy, designer breeds have made a mark on the $60 billion pet market by commanding high prices that often exceed their purebred counterparts. And so long as the market continues to demand them, cavachons, pekeapoos and schnoodles are here to stay.

The abused dog and the online manhunt

Pictures of a dog chained to the back of a car as it is dragged along a road have prompted an outcry on Chinese social media. They triggered a "human flesh search" for the driver, who has now confessed on local television.

The photos were uploaded to Sina Weibo - a microblogging site similar to Twitter - over the weekend. They show a dog tied by a chain to the back of a car which seems to be in motion, on a busy road in Shantou, a city in southern China. Unable to keep pace with the car, the dog is being dragged behind it, and its hind legs appear to be bleeding.

The images provoked a mixture of shock and disgust from many using the site. "This is simply unbelievable. Just what did the dog do wrong that it had to be treated this way?" said one. Others were alarmed that nobody seemed to be helping the animal. "What were those who took pictures videos thinking about? If everyone got out of their cars to stop him, would the dog be abused to death?" said another.

The incident has spawned a "human flesh search" for the person driving the car - an attempt by the online community to track down and expose whoever is responsible. And in this case the controversial practice appears to have been successful. A man's name, address and telephone number have been shared on Sina Weibo, along with calls for people to track him down in real life. It is believed the details were found in conjunction with the car's license plate - information which should only be visible to the authorities, but appears to have been leaked online.

On Monday the driver, identified only as Mr Zheng, appeared on local television to admit responsibility for the incident. He said he wanted to be rid of the dog because it kept biting people. He apologised for his actions and pleaded asked Sina Weibo users not to share any more of his personal information.

An animal rights group that cares for cats and dogs in the Guangdong province has organised a campaign to find the missing dog. Ms Chen, a spokesperson for the group, tells BBC Trending the driver claimed the dog did not die, and was left at the side of the road. "Our volunteers ran to the scene, but found nothing," she says.

Airline's lost-and-found dog is a fake, but he's the cutest commercial conman and it was all an advertising hoax!

On Tuesday, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines released a video featuring a furry, four-footed worker named Sherlock, who reunited passengers with the items they left behind. But as it turns out, the adorable and awfully helpful beagle isn't really on the payroll. It was all just part of an ad.

Still, who can blame viral video fans for wanting to believe? Navigating airports, making it through security, enduring delays and losing luggage are all-too-common parts of travel. Throw in a talented pup who can save us from at least one woe, and we're suddenly living the dream.

But it's time to wake up!

The advertising agency behind it all revealed the ruse.

"We were told that the members of KLM’s Lost & Found team sometimes track down passengers before they even realize they’ve lost something," Alex Herwig and Jeroen Thissen, representatives at DDB & Tribal Worldwide, told MediaBistro. "We feel they are a bit like detectives. So to illustrate that KLM goes above and beyond for their passengers, we decided to involve a search dog."

I am sure I am not the only one who really believed it - did you?
