The photo showed the female and the pups lying at the far end with another dog (presumably the father) lying a few feet nearer the camera

The photo was grainy, but the floor was a mottled lightish brown colour. Its possible that it was brown vet bed, but it looked like it was just ground (like a plaster colour, though you wouldn't normally plaster a floor).

As for the health testing - what they say is that they have good scores 'in the family' - to me that doesn't necessarily mean the ma & pa of the pups.
Oh thanks for that. Hope it was a posed picture in the run section as otherwise would be very alarmed that dad was there with the family.sounds odd Mum& pups laid on floor like that if not posed for picture.
Have reread piece about scoring & is woryingly ambivalent.
Makes you very suspicious.

Hey Wendy--

You can *never* be oversensitive when it comes to the well-being of puppies, especially of a breed as exploited as badly as GSDs. You are to be commended on being vigilant. Do we know anything else about this lot?

Just to say that this post is 5 years old and that the OP has not been on line for 5 years.
