Some herding pictures from last week

This is Derek (the guy who was running the training course for us) working some of his dogs.
He won the Nationals with Killiebrae Laddie (262753) in 2008 ad also had Ben (220939) who was the top stud dog for a few years and ran in the national team a few times.

He is a really interesting trainer and a very quiet handler (most of the time)

We had been to his house but the weather was awful so I did not have a chance to get pictures of him working his dogs on the fells, but he gave us some demos and it was fantastic.

Distance

Driving...

Laddie -

To give you a bit of an Idea about how far away he was working him

Closer

Shedding

Single

Holding them

Letting them go

This was Fleece - I really liked her - Very pretty little bitch - but very didi

Everyone watching....(Accept Tassle - she really cannot see the point of sheep!)

Siren...very focused

....and this took all 3 days to achieve this when the sheep were around!

Thanks for looking.

Did you enjoy your time at Derek's, Tassle? Did you feel you learned much? (Lie down )

Good piccies. Derek lives in a lovely spot. Did you do any training at his place in the hills near Keswick?
